Some celebrations mark the day itself. This one celebrated everything leading up to it.
Before the Waters became Mr. and Mrs., ImagiCakes Cake Designers created a two-tier ivory cake and a coordinated sweets table for their pre-wedding celebration in Philadelphia. The brief was classic romance with a little sparkle: a clean, elegant cake dressed in silver and ivory, surrounded by treats that guests could pick up and enjoy while the couple took center stage.
The cake was covered in smooth ivory fondant and finished with a wide charcoal-gray satin ribbon tied into a soft bow, anchored by a rhinestone flower brooch at the front. A cluster of hand-formed sugar roses crowned the top tier, and a string of ivory sugar pearls traced the base of the bottom tier. The whole cake sat on a silver drum wrapped in rhinestone trim, with a glitter "Soon to be Mr & Mrs Waters" topper announcing the occasion.
Around the cake, the table carried the same palette. White chocolate–dipped cake pops dusted with silver sparkle lined a lace-trimmed tray, and chocolate-covered strawberries were dressed as the couple: bride berries in white chocolate with delicate drizzle, groom berries in dark chocolate tuxedos with tiny bow ties. Shimmering silver linen, a white column pedestal, and a crystal accent tied the display together.
Inside, the cake was as considered as the outside. The two tiers carried two flavors: dulce de leche cake with raspberry filling, and vanilla cake with strawberry filling, enough to serve 60 guests. Every element was made and finished by hand, so the table read as one design rather than a collection of separate desserts.
The Waters have since said "I do." This is the kind of celebration we love most: a design that is simple from across the room, and full of small, personal details the closer you get.
